Our History & Evolution
Kidz Dreamz Klub is a community-led initiative to provide platforms for child development programs and activities for school-age children. This commitment holds true and remains deeply relevant due to the history of Kidz Dreamz Klub, Inc. Established in 2014 as a 501(c)3 public charity. Kidz Dreamz Klub's founding story, led by visionaries Patrick Horton Sr, Richard Akashambatwa, and Natalie Grubb-Akashambatwa, speak to the authentic roots of the mission.
Kidz Dreamz Klub’s vision is to build an ecosystem of well resourced, child development programs for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school age children and become a leader in providing affordable and quality care for the children. In 2017, Kidz Dreamz Klub purchased a 6,400 square foot facility, with a capacity to accommodate over 100 children and house the Development After-School Program (DASP) and Summer Day Camps (SDC) as a commitment to serving our community through affordable child development activities.
The impact of the efforts is also evident in the September 2022 opening of Love's Childcare Center in Lexington, Davidson County, with an enrollment capacity of 21 children aged between 0-5 years old – a significant milestone that showcases a commitment to providing access to quality child development opportunities.
As an organization rooted in the community and led by individuals passionate about creating positive change, the journey has been marked by action and results. This history substantiates Kidz Dreamz Klub’s ability to effectively deliver on the promise of holistic child development, encompassing academic support, behavior remodeling, and social skills building activities. This truth, coupled with commitments and tangible achievements, forms a compelling foundation for the relevance in fostering a brighter future for underserved children.
