Reducing Adverse Childhood Experiences (RACHEX) is an initiative to advocate for children and their families for better early learning opportunities, increased resources, and access to quality care.

Childhood Adverse Experiences (ACEs) are traumatic events that impact a child's life before they turn 18. These experiences encompass various forms of abuse and neglect, including parental substance use, incarceration, and domestic violence. Our commitment to research highlights the urgency of implementing preventive measures to shield children from these early traumas, recognizing the lifelong impact ACEs can have on their development.

Creating and sustaining safe, stable, nurturing relationships and environments for all children and families can prevent ACEs. By strengthening economic supports, promoting social norms that protect against violence and adversity, and ensuring a strong start for children we can prevent adverse childhood experiences.

Child Networking Forum (CNF)
CNF is a platform for community leaders, childcare providers, and child development stakeholders to share experiences, learn about existing gaps, identify opportunities, and collaborate for child advocacy. Kidz Dreamz Klub with its partners also uses this platform to raise awareness on issues of adverse childhood experiences.Family Support Group (FSG) Meetings
FSG are held periodically in Forsyth, Davidson, Davie Counties to provide families and children that have experienced adverse childhood experiences an opportunity to provide each other with moral support, information, and advice relating to a shared characteristic or experience. Family members are able to meet others who share a similar situation to themselves and who can provide empathy, emotional support, and first-hand experiences.Referral Services
Kidz Dreamz Klub offers referral services to families that need immediate help and support to reduce and mitigate the impact of ACEs. We identified and are collaborating with various nonprofits to provide wrap-around referral resources including counseling, childcare scholarship, and utility bill support.
