Kidz Dreamz Klub receives a $330,000 Grant from Katy B. Reynolds Trust for RACHEX 2

LEXINGTON, NC – Kidz Dreamz Klub is pleased to announce receiving a $330,000.00 grant for RACHEX 2.0, a project aimed at facilitating greater community engagements for local and statewide efforts to increase resources and access to early childhood education. The grant award is from the Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Kidz Dreamz Klub has been implementing advocacy, awareness raising, and an education project called Reducing Adverse Childhood Experiences, the acronym RACHEX for the last 3 years. The funding will ensure continued work for community engagement, advocacy work, and building capacity for Kidz Dreamz Klub to enhance quality early childhood education services.

“The funding will build on the successes of the last 3 years and increase our capacity to collaborate with other stakeholders to amplify our community voices for the underserved children and families in Forsyth, Davidson, and Davie Counties,” Natalie Akashambatwa, Director.

Kidz Dreamz Klub has added Love’s Childcare Center 2 with a capacity of 38 children ages 0-5 years old. This month, love’s Childcare Center was upgraded to a 4-star rating following standard improvements and increased capacity in education. These and many other improvements are the result of the support from the Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust.
